City Green is the recepient of the 2010 Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award (26-75 employees category). Sponsored by the Greater Victoria Development Agency, the award honours a business “that demonstrates continual business excellence through positive business growth, exemplifies superior customer service and embraces an outstanding commitment to quality.”

As the lead in this Energy Savings Plan, City Green helped to create a one stop shop website where people can search for energy efficiency related grants available throughout B.C. People can search based on their location, building type or type of renovation.
The ESP website is a legacy of the ESP pilot project that ran from March 2006 to 2007. As lead in this project, City Green partnered with municipalities and community energy planners to link owners of low-income housing projects, multi-unit residential buildings, property owners, and homeowners, to provincial grants for energy efficiency building upgrades.
City Green - and all our partners in this innovative partnership among industry, governments, utilities, First Nations and others - became a finalist in the Premiers Innovation and Excellence Award. The ESP program promoted energy efficiency as a way to reduce consumer energy costs and lower greenhouse gas emissions from the residential sector.
The CRD voted City Green the winner of the Climate Change award for our work with the Energy Savings Plan program. This award was sponsored by Golder Ecofys Solutions.
