Rebates available to builders and developers utilizing solar hot water systems, as well as for homeowners retrofitting existing systems. These offers are available throughout FortisBC's service area.

Eligibility
Application procedure
To be suitable for solar hot water systems, the following homes will qualify:
- Single-family residences; or multi-unit residences with separate common entrances and comprising less than 600 square metres of building area; or three or fewer stories of building height
- Have at least six square metres of south-facing roof space
- Ensure no shade or limited shade from 10 am – 4 pm on the south-facing area of the roof
- May need additional space next to the conventional hot water tank for an additional solar storage tank
- Installer must be an approved contractor. Check www.solarbc.com for a current list.
- Solar system must be on the Energy and Natural Resources Canada approved product list.
