LiveSmart BC Small Business Program in the CRD

The LiveSmart BC: Small Business Program provides small businesses with unbiased, expert advice from a Business Energy Advisor about how best to save energy and money.

If you are an owner or manager of a small or medium sized business in the capital region, you may be eligible for a free business energy assessment. After the assessment, you will receive a written report with recommendations about the best return on investment from lighting and energy upgrade options and how to access utility incentives to help pay for them.

During a site visit of your business a City Green Business Energy Advisor will:

  • Conduct an on-site assessment (20 minutes to 1 hour depending on building size)
  • Interview a business representative about general energy concerns or comfort complaints
  • Collect detailed information about the building lighting systems, and
  • Collect basic information about windows and doors, heating, hot water, and ventilation systems
