Greening Our Office
The goal of our staff on a daily basis is to minimize the environmental footprint of our organization. To this end, we choose to:
- reuse and recycle our printer ink cartridges
- to print on both sides of each page for all in-house documents
- use 100% post consumer recycled content paper for our business cards and in-house paper product needs
- provide a recycling station for CRD recyclables and non-bluebox hard and soft plastics, styrofoam and tinfoil to deliver to the Pacific Mobile Recycling Stations
- manage in-house worm bins to collect and compost lunch time leftovers and shredded paper
Walk the talk (or ride!)
City Green office staff choose to live close to where they work so that we can minimize the total cost and time of our commute. Whether walking, cycling or taking the bus, each of the staff tries to leave the gas guzzling, greenhouse gas emitting vehicles at home. Daily physical activity keeps us healthier and happier.
