The Home Renovation Rebate Program requires supporting documentation to be submitted along with your Application Form. For full details, visit BC Hydro or FortisBC's webpages.

Review these sample invoices to understand the documentation requirements for each upgrade.

Draftproofing rebate applications must be accompanied by an invoice that shows draftproofing labour and/or materials cost according to the guidelines below.

  • Receipt for materials and/or labour (min $10 before tax).
  • Acceptable materials: a wide range of materials will be accepted as draftproofing products including typical materials (weatherstripping, caulking, expanding foam) as well as supporting materials (drywall, plywood, rigid foam, concrete gap filler, plastic vapour barrier films, non-permeable paints and sealers, etc). If an unusual product was used, please briefly note how and where it was used on the invoice.
