Established in 1999, City Green incorporated as a non-profit society in BC in 2005. Under the direction of a volunteer board of directors and a professional Executive Director, City Green strives to realize its mission of exciting, inspiring and leading British Columbians in finding innovative home and building energy efficiency solutions.

City Green Clients and Partners

City Green has created and delivered dozens of innovative, award winning and successful energy conservation projects. In addition, City Green operates a successful fee-for-service residential energy assessment service that has delivered over 21,000 energy assessments for provincial and federal energy conservation rebate programs.

Skills and Experience

Our team intimately understands the motivations, benefits, costs, savings and barriers that homeowners and businesses face when undertaking energy conservation and renewable energy upgrades. Key skills and experience of our project team include:

  • Project management, including contract management, administrative support and, financial administration;
  • Partnership building and stakeholder engagement;
  • Developing and implementing cost-effective outreach and community-based social marketing campaigns;
  • Home and business owner, MURB, non-profit organization and institutional organization engagement;
  • Whole home energy conservation and renewable energy technical and engagement expertise;
  • Building energy analysis, using HOT2000 and RETScreen modeling software, a blower door, and thermal imaging;
  • Quantifying the energy and GHG emission savings from energy conservation upgrades;
  • Administering government incentives; and
  • Database development and management using Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Constant Contact.
